5 Tips to Pass the LET Exam in One Take
1. Set a regular schedule for review
It is best to set a consistent time schedule to review for
the LET exam. To be a successful passer, studying for the exam must turn into a
habit. Setting a regular time schedule will help keep a disciplined approach to
studying. It is best to set the time when there is least amount of distractions
and you can focus on your subject matter. Make sure you allot a certain number
of hours per day and/or per week to study then stick to this plan.
2. Practice! Practice! Practice!
It is advisable to master the subject matter by taking
sample exams whenever available. This allows you to test your readiness and
preparation. When you feel that you have adequately studied a topic, proceed to
answering sample exams to check comprehension. As they say, practice makes
perfect. Even if you did not get the correct answer the first time, keep doing
practice tests so you will eventually get the right answers!
3. Use Memory Notes
The sheer volume of information that an examinee must
memorize during a LET exam can be daunting! It is very useful to take down
concepts or information that you find difficult to remember and put them in
small notes. Carry these notes anywhere and read them! When you have time — for
example when riding a jeepney, waiting for the bus, or lined up waiting for
your turn — just bring out your notes and start reading. This will help you
remember information easily.
4. Surround yourself with positive people
Taking a challenging exam becomes more challenging if the
people around you are not supportive. Make sure you surround yourself with
positivity, including being with people who can provide you moral support. If
there are distractions or negativity, temporarily move away from them so you
can focus on studying. If you can, find like-minded people or meet with other
LET examinees so you can share experiences and tips regarding LET review.
5. Believe in yourself
Be positive. Even if you keep making mistakes answering
sample exams, take note of your achievements and feel good about them. Continue
studying until you can increase your score.
Take time to rest if needed. Meditate and talk to God so
that you may be your best self during the exam day. As the cliché goes – Do
your best and God will do the rest.
